Norwich City Triumphs in East Anglian Derby

Ipswich Town Falls in Tightly-Contested Match

Second-half Free-Kick Seals Victory

Norwich City emerged victorious in the latest edition of the East Anglian derby on Saturday, defeating Ipswich Town 1-0 at Carrow Road. Marcelino Nunez's stunning free-kick from 30 yards out proved to be the deciding moment in the second half, securing three points for the Canaries.

The match was a closely fought affair, with both sides creating chances throughout the game. Norwich City came close to breaking the deadlock early on, but Teemu Pukki's effort hit the woodwork. Ipswich Town had their own opportunities, but were unable to find the back of the net.

The breakthrough came in the 75th minute, when Nunez stepped up to take a free-kick from just outside the penalty area. The Chilean international curled a magnificent shot into the top corner, leaving Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton with no chance.

Despite Norwich City's dominance in recent East Anglian derbies, Ipswich Town put up a valiant fight and pushed their rivals hard. However, Nunez's moment of brilliance proved to be too much for the Tractor Boys, who remain without a win in their last three league games.

The victory extends Norwich City's unbeaten run against Ipswich Town to 11 matches, and sees them maintain their promotion push in the Championship. Ipswich Town, meanwhile, remain in 16th place, just three points above the relegation zone.
