The Great British Sewing Bee 2024: Air Date and Contestants Announced
The tenth series of The Great British Sewing Bee is set to return to BBC One on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 9 pm.
The popular sewing competition will see a new batch of talented sewers compete for the title of Britain's best amateur dressmaker.
The contestants for the tenth series have been announced, and they include a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, and sewing abilities. The youngest contestant is 18-year-old Esme Young, while the oldest is 63-year-old Kiell Smith-Bynoe. The contestants come from all walks of life, including a teacher, a nurse, a stay-at-home mom, and a retired engineer.
The judges for the tenth series will be Patrick Grant and Esme Young. Grant is a renowned fashion designer and the founder of the eponymous label Patrick Grant. Young is a fashion and textile designer who has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
The Great British Sewing Bee is one of the most popular shows on British television. The ninth series, which aired in 2023, was watched by an average of 4 million viewers. The show has won numerous awards, including two BAFTAs for Best Features.
