The Thunderbirds' defense was unable to contain Westside's offense, allowing the Warriors to score on seven of their nine possessions.

Westside's Defense Shines

Westside's defense was equally impressive as their offense, holding Bellevue West to just 250 yards of total offense. The Warriors forced two turnovers, including an interception by cornerback AJ Rollins.

The Warriors' defense also recorded four sacks, led by defensive end Riley Swanson's two sacks.

Outlook

With the win, Westside improves to 7-0 on the season and remains atop the Class A standings. The Warriors will face their toughest test of the season next week when they travel to Kearney to take on the undefeated Bearcats.

Bellevue West falls to 5-2 on the season and will look to rebound next week against Papillion-La Vista.
